Afresh raids were conducted by NIA at almost 20 locations in Srinagar and seven in Delhi in connection with the ongoing probe in separatist funding today.
Reports said that since morning the raids were going on at different locations in the capital and its adjacent areas like Budgam, Kupwara, Anantnag and others by NIA.
Reports added that the raids were also conducted on house of Hurriyat leader Aga Hassan, Budgam; GH Hassan sumji, Showket Bakshi, CA Shabir Ahamd of wizkat financial and consultancy services at Al Haiderpora, Zamir Thakur close aid of Yaseen Malik, Choudhary Razzak in Jammu.
The NIA sleuths also Imran Kawoosa, Kawoosa & Sons at Nowhatta Srinagar, and residence of Hilal Ahmad Khan at Natipora, Nowgam were also raided by NIA. During the raids, NIA is assisted by large contingent of police and CRPF according to eye Witnesses.
Sources said that the during the searches, cash amounting to approximately Rs. 2.20 Crores was recovered besides incriminating documents pertaining to financial transactions according to NIA. Digital devices in large number including laptops, mobile phones and hard discs have also been seized during the search, they added.
Pertinent to mention that after the arrest of two alleged stone pelters from Pulwama and Kulgam in South Kashmir a day before, NIA conducted fresh raids. NIA is conducting raids at almost every corner in the state and outside to check the funding for Hurriyat in the valley. (PTK)
