Thousands of people, including women and children, pariticipated in funeral prayers of two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants in Tral and Pahoo areas of district Pulwama on Sunday.
Local sources said that amid pro-freedom slogans both the militants, identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Lone of Amurabad Tral and Parwaiz Ahmad Mir of Pohoo, were laid to rest at their native villages.
They said that from early morning thousands of people including women and children had assembled in Tral and Pahoo villages to pariticipate in the funeral prayers.
Rising Kashmir has learnt that a complete a shutdown is being observed in Tral, Pulwama and its adjacent areas as well. Mobile internet services have also been suspended as ‘precausionary measure’ in the ditrict.
Three militants were killed in a gun-battle with forces on Saturday at Satoora forest area of Tral.
