CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami Tuesday said that the policy of browbeating adopted by the government to muzzle genuine voices of people is extremely unfortunate.
“Government seems more comfortable in silencing these voices through force and browbeating. This tactics is most unfortunate and condemnable,” he said.
While condemning lathicharge on traders he demanded immediate release of leaders of traders bodies including Showkat Chowdhary, Zahoor Tramboo, Siraj Ahmad, Jan Mohd Koul, Faiz Bakshi, Manzoor Bhat, Mauzam Bakshi, Muzaffar Khan, Yaseen Khan, Bashir Rather, Farooq Dar, Dr. Mubeen Shah & Shakeel Qalandar.
