Train services have been suspended for security reasons in the Kashmir valley, where separatists had called for a general strike today to protest the death of two civilians in Anantnag.
‘We have suspended all trains today in the Kashmir valley following advisory from Police and civil administration,’ a railway official said.
He said all train runs on Srinagar-Budgam to Baramulla have been suspended.
Similarly, trains operating on Budgam-Srinagar and Anantnag and Qazigund to Banihal have also been canceled.
Train runs were suspended several times last month for security reasons on directions from the administration.
