The Secretary Tourism and Floriculture Farooq Ahmad Shah launched an aggressive campaign to vow tourists for post Eid season specifically in the MICE, Golf and spiritual segment of tourism. In an interactive session with the few established names in the Golf and Mice Tourism.
The secretary asked the media also to stop unnecessary projecting Jammu kashmir in negative way.
The Secretary while giving the details about the publicity campaign post Eid said that the Travel trade is already in Delhi and Mumbai to organize press interaction and specific meetings with the Travel trade of Maharashtra and Mumbai so that they can bring more and more tourism to the Jammu Kashmir.
The secretary also said that customized packages will be made for promoting MICE and Golf tourism and also the spiritual tourism of Jammu Kashmir will be promoted to target the people of different faiths because Jammu Kashmir has diverse avenues and scope for the said segment of tourism in the form of Sufi circuits, temples, shrines, Gurdwaras and Jammu is the abode of Vaishnu Maata similarly Amarnath also attracts large number of pilgrims.
The secretary also said that soon some Golfing events will be held in Srinagar and an amateur Golf tournament will be organized in Pahalgam.
The meeting was also attended by JK Tourism officials, JKTDC officials and Manager Marketing SKICC.
