Authorities in Kashmir have imposed curfew-like restrictions on Friday to prevent separatist-called protests against the killing of a youth in firing by government forces in Shopian.
The areas are Nowhatta, Rainawari, Khanyar, M.R.Gunj, Kralkhud, Maisuma and Safa Kadal police stations.
Restrictions have also been imposed in the district headquarters of Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Baramulla, Badgam, Ganderbal, Bandipora and Kupwara.
Heavy deployments have been put at many places where restrictions have not been imposed.
Separatists have called for a shutdown and protests against the killing of Adil Farooq Magray of Ganawpora village, district Shopian.
Meanwhile, all the educational institutions have also been closed to prevent student protests.
Train services between Baramulla and Banihal town have bee suspended too.
