Minster for Education Altaf Bukhari today said that the students falling short of attendance will not be allowed to sit in the examinations.
Altaf was addressing an education conclave organized by the private schools, where he said that there will be no reduction in syllabus nor will there be a mass promotion.
He said that students have a right to protest inside the schools, not on roads adding that, “If they come out on roads, it is a law and order problem and for that security forces will intervene.”
While commenting on the issue of arrested students, he said those students who were arrested, have been released after proper counseling.
He added that if even there is any student in custody he will be released after undertaking from his parents. “We don’t want to detain students but want to see them in classrooms,” he said.
