National Conference State Vice President Thakur Kashmira Singh on Monday said that dialogue is the only way forward for resolving political issues of Jammu and Kashmir and heralding lasting peace in the state.
Reacting to the statement of a central BJP minister, the State Vice President said that this is complete U-turn of the agenda of alliance this party has forged with the PDP before forming coalition government in the state. He said the two parties are committed for dialogue and backtracking from it is yet another betrayal with the people.
Th Kashmira Singh expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation and said that bloodshed is only adding to the problems and if the government does not appreciate the gravity of the prevailing scenario, the state is poised for a big disaster. He said the disturbed situation in Kashmir has impacted overall governance, which in no way is visible otherwise also, and the development has been a major causality. He said the people are suffering on account of utility services, like drinking water and power besides supply of rations, but the coalition government is engaged in diversionary tactics.
The State Vice President said that National Conference believes in comprehensive dialogue with all the stakeholders for bringing peace and normalcy in the state. (PTK)
