‘He has the support of the whole country’.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can resolve Kashmir issue as he has the support of the whole country.
“If anyone can solve Kashmir issue it’s PM Modi. He has a huge mandate of the people of the country. So whatever decision he will take the nation will support him,” Mehbooba said at the inaugural function of flyover at Bikram Chowk in Jammu, according to KNS correspondent.
“Earlier prime ministers also wanted to go to Pakistan, but it was Modi who went to Lahore. This is a sign of his strength.”
She was referring to the visit by Modi wherein he wished his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif a happy birthday.
Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said tough action will be taken against forces trying to disrupt communal harmony in the Jammu region.
“Tough action will be taken against who carry out smuggling and also against those who take the law in their own hands,” the CM said.
The CM said many attempts are being made to foment trouble in the Jammu and disturb communal harmony.
“Jammu is like a second home to me. It has always strengthened communal harmony and has extended help to the government,” she said. (KNS)
