Protests followed by clashes were witnessed in Belov village of Pulwama in south Kashmir on Monday after the funeral of Hizb militant Rayees Kachroo who died along with another militant in Padgampora yesterday.
Reports said that at least fifteen civilians were injured in clashes. Hospital official said that eight persons were treated for injuries at the District Hospital Pulwama. He said two others were shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Two Hizb ul Mujahideen militants, Rayees Ahmad and Farooq Ahmed Hurrah were killed in a brief shootout with government forces near Padgampora, Awantipora.
