‘NC, PDP, two faces of same coin’
Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) while reacting over the reports that PDP convention was stoned in Kulgam on Sunday said those who killed our children and snatched their vision deserve such treatment.
Terming the people’s resentment as ‘courageous’, a DFP spokesperson in a statement issued said other districts should follow the suit and show the “killers” their worth.
“Those unleashing pellet terror upon people and collaborators of communal elements don’t deserve any respect but the same treatment which PDP workers faced in Kulgam,” he said.

Meanwhile, party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah termed the parliamentary elections as ‘drama’, saying National Conference and PDP are two sides of the same coin who can stoop to any low for achieving power.
“Till yesterday, Tariq Karra used to lash out at National Conference and today campaigns for the same party. This is the height of opportunism and to expect any good from these people is a folly,” he said.

Shah challenged the government to allow the resistance leadership to meet people and “we’ll show you that your position is not above than a mohalla committee leader”.
“Though we know these elections are sham but we still challenge the authorities to let us meet the people and everything will be clear,” he said.

Shah hailed the pro-freedom spirit of people particularly those of south Kashmir and Srinagar saying, “You have given shoulders to the coffins of your sons. Now, by observing curfew on election days, you have to show the pro-India politicians their worth.”
The DFP chairman said New Delhi is always in need of puppets which it finds in the likes of NC and PDP. “While NC is a confused party, PDP is a creation of agencies and both killers are imposed upon us. People must ponder that those begging for votes are the same who killed our people in 2008, 2010, and 2016,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah expressed grief over the sad demise of the mother of Syed Faiz Naqashbandi and extended condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family.
