Governor releases “Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book-2017”

Governor N. N. Vohra released Amarnathji Yatra Guide Book-2017 which has been brought out by Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ), at the Raj Bhavan here today. This Guide Book provides useful information to guide the intending pilgrims to Amarnathji Yatra about various matters relating to the pilgrimage which commences on 29th June and ends on 7th August, 2017.

In this year’s Guide Book additional information has been included in regard to: relating to the Police Helpline; auspicious days falling during the Yatra period as per the Hindu religious calender; details of Shiva Tourism Circuit; copies of the application forms for Advance Registration and Compulsory Health Certificate for the Yatra.

To benefit the Yatris the Governor suggested wide circulation of the Guide Book throughout the country and offered certain suggestions to make it more useful for the intending pilgrims. The delegation made several suggestions for further improving the arrangements for the pilgrimages to Shri Amarnathji and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.

Present on the occasion were Mr. P. K Tripathi, Principal Secretary to the Governor and CEO Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB); Mr. Jitendra K. Singh, Additional CEO SASB; Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Chairman TFJ and Executive Members of the TFJ.
