The authorities through the order further directed people to invite only 500 guests for daughter’s marriage and 400 for son’s marriage.
The order reads that for small functions like engagement ceremonies, people can only invite 100 guests.
Government has also restricted number of dishes, seven non-veg and seven vegetarian dishes can be made available in marriages besides two items of sweets or ice cream.
The order further reads that no sweets or dry fruit will be given with the invitation cards and there should be control on the use of DJ/amplifiers and speakers creating noise pollution.
The order further reads that concerned Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) will look after its implementation and will come with another legislation to ensure punishments for the violators who don’t follow the government orders.
