Talking to the reporters outside GMC Jammu, Firdous Tak said that state government, especially Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, was alive to the problems of all far off areas. “We have a chief minister who has visited almost all the remotest parts of the state. Tak, meanwhile, urged the government to ensure all government functionaries remain present in the snowbound and cut off areas. “The local residents have complained about the repeated absence of senior government functionaries including Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar, Tehsil Supply Officer and Block Medical Officer from the area”, he said adding that the divisional administration has been apprised about the issue with the request to take disciplinary action against the absentees beside deputing a team from district administration to assess ground situation.
