In a bid to create awareness about Kashmir problem among Europeans, Kashmir Diaspora has launched a monthly magazine in London, the capital of United Kingdom.
The news magazine was launched during a function organized by Justice Foundation.
In an e-mailed statement to news agency CNS from London, the Justice Foundation has said that the magazine titled ‘Kashmir Inside’ is the first of its kind which is designed to educate and increase awareness about Kashmir to an international audience.
Among others, the function was addressed by featured panelists from different backgrounds and disciplines renowned for their insight on Kashmir including Victoria Schofield, Professor Nasir Shawl, Sanaah Sultan, Fahim Kayan, Saasha Bhat, Rana Shama Nazir and Shamila Mahmood. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Shah Geelani (represented by Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convenor APHC) and Muhammad Yasin Malik addressed the gatherings through Video Live stream.
The releasing function of ‘Kashmir Inside’ was live on different social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Bigo Live and was seen by over 2 million people around the globe.
Speaking on the occasion Executive Director, Justice Foundation and World Kashmir Freedom Movement Muzzammil Ayyub Thakur said this is the magazine from which one can get information about Kashmir from anywhere in the world. The magazine is directly from the ground for the International readers as most of the news reports will be contributed by journalists based in Kashmir.
Speaking to media on the sidelines of function, Uzair Ronga one of the main founders of the magazine said initially the hard copies of the magazine will be available in European and South Asian countries, however, later the magazine will be available in rest of the world.
“The copies of the magazine will also be presented to different world organizations including United Nations, OIC, Amnesty International and World Red Cross Society besides the High Commissioners offices in the United Kingdom,” Uzair added. (CNS)
