President Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian and senior Hurriyat leader Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi led a massive Eid-e-Milad procession from Zadibal Srinagar that marched through streets and roads and culminated at Imam Bara Gulshan Bagh Botakadal.
Shortly after the culmination of the procession a Milad Conference was held that was attended by different sections of society. Throwing the light on the importance and value of Eid-e-Milad Nabi, Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi the love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the basic reason for the unity among Muslims. “This Milad shows our sincere belief and love for our beloved Prophet,” he said.
Condeming the government action barring Syed Ali Geelani from orgainzing a seerat conference in Hyderpora Srinagar, Aga Hasan said that such actions on part of the government is the direct interference into the religious affairs.
While addressing the Milad Conference, Anjuman-e-Himayat-ul-Islam president Maulana Khurshid Ahmed Qanango stressed upon the people to follow the teachings of Prophed Muhammad (SAW).
On this occasion, the students from Jamia Babul Alam participated in the Naat and Qirat competition. Aga Syed Hasan distributed prized among the students. He also awarded two females from Aarabal Shalimar Jameela daughter of Muhammad Akbar Bhat and Malika daughter of Muhammad Abdullah Bhat for leading mourning processions on 25th Muharamul Haram. Pertinently, this year on 25th Muharamul Haram authorities had imposed curfew to foil the mourning procession, however, these women took lead and organized a massive procession in the Shalimar area.
