While government and other stakeholders are continuously on the lookout for avenues to show everything is normal in Kashmir, it is sowing seeds for a more eruptive state. The state government has not moved at a time when there is a question mark on its enjoying the confidence of the mandate. A Latin saying goes, “Audentis Fortuna Iuvat” which means FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE. The Kashmir Valley continues to simmer, from last 84 days, under continuous siege like situation. The unrest in Kashmir has gone up, with an escalation chances of war breakup. Government in no mood of restoration of cellular prepaid and internet services, this means situation still not has gained normalcy. As said Jammu and Kashmir also needs peace as much as other nations in the world but peace with dignity and honour and not with disgrace and humiliation is the rule of the game. With the situation frequently vibrating like pendulum, cannot be ascertained right now, where it will go or is heading upon. Because till now no party has initiated for talks, better late than never Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his “Mun Ki Baat” has hinted for a dialogue with the people of Kashmir. But this too went off air, the offer for a dialogue in time would have saved the painful scars forever.
If war broke out, the chaotic situation and uncertain future could lead to large scale livestock depletion and lesser investment in all important poultry and dairy sectors. That may turn the tide from decades old self-sufficiency to food dependency. That may dent the resolve, break the will and determination of people. Longer the crises lasts, bigger the losses. This will worsen the livelihoods and socio-economic plight of majority population. It will also hamper a speedy post crisis recovery.
Now both countries are trying to cast a blame on an other, India tries to prove Pakistan as a terrorist country and Pakistan wants to prove that Kashmir is a disputed state and highlight the atrocities done on Kashmiri people and rest of the world including UNO are watching as spectators, verbally passing comments and statements, but not with sincerity. The introduction of Kashmiriyat, inside Kashmir is like a metaphysical abstraction unmoored from actual politics of brutalization, secured by brute forces and mutated in many ways with unclear meaning. The Indian so called leaders and politicians themselves, do not know the meaning of Kashmiriyat, Jamooriyat and Insaniyat, what these words meant for Kashmiries.
Now as the Indian surgical strikes on Pakistan soil, to destroy the terrorists camps, in retaliation to the URI attack, again worsened the relationship between the two nuclear countries. Now as India has evacuated all the people living in border line areas, within the range of 10 kilometers, means something might happen as per reports, situation in borders are said to be tense, as both countries have deployed their armies along the border to stop any infiltration or attack, in all this conflict only and only Kashmir will suffer.
