JK Opposition to meet President Tomorrow

‘Appointment is scheduled at 1.30 pm’

The Jammu and Kashmir Opposition parties’ delegation is going to meet the President Pranab Mukherjee tomorrow at his office in New Delhi.
The 20-member delegation will be led by former chief minister and National Conference Working president Omar Abdullah. Among others who will be part of the delegation include JKPCC president G A Mir, CPIM State secretary and MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigami, PDF chairman and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Yaseen, AIP chief and MLA Langate, Abdul Rashid, and former minister and DNP chief Ghulam Hassan Mir.
“The appointment with the President is scheduled at 1.30 pm on Saturday in his office in New Delhi,” sources said.
Earlier, the opposition parties held a meeting here in the summer capital and passed a 4-point resolution demanding special session on the present unrest, among other things.
The parties had also recommended political dialogue with all stakeholders and with Pakistan for resolution of the Kashmir issue. (KNS)
