Strict curfew has been imposed on 35th consecutive day across Kashmir to thaw people from coming out to march towards Lal Chowk as per united Hurriyat protest calendar.
Authorities have completely sealed Lal Chowk to prevent a“referendum march” called by United Hurriyat on Saturday. All the entry and exit points of Lal Chowk have been sealed by rolls of concertina wires and barricades.
The united Hurriyat has appealed to the people to march towards Lal Chowk on August 13 and 14 for a “referendum march”.
Authorities also blocked the internet services to major newspapers in Srinagar on Friday.
On Sautrday morning, one more youth scummbed taking the death toll to 69 in the ongoing violent clashes that erupted after the killing of Commander Burhan Wani.
