Nine persons accused of taking part in protests have been slapped with Public Safety Act (PSA) during last two days, sources said on Saturday.
They said five persons including a Hurriyat activist and four civilians were booked in Bandipora district alone.
Four more persons were booked under the “lawless law” in Shopian and lodged to district jail Kutua, they said.
Sources said that all the nine are accused of taking part in the protests.
According to Sources four Muslim League, office bearers, Rafiq Ganai, Sajad Laway, Tariq Ganai and Abdul Rasheed have been shifted to central jail Srinagar.
They were arrested from Abhi Guzar, Srinagar couple of days before.
