Police on Friday arrested MLA Langate and AIP President, Er Rashhed along with his associates from Press Enclave Srinagar, to foil his protest sit-in.
Raising slogans in support of Self Determination, Rasheed and his companions were rushed to Kothibagh police station.
Earlier, according to AIP spokesman, police raided the official residence of Rasheed and arrested many people present there. “35 party workers and office bearers have been arrested since morning,” he said.
Rasheed along with dozens of AIP activists had managed to reach Press Enclave despite heavy deployments to start 72 hrs long protest sit-in.
