The Ministry of Home Affairs has flown Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers from Tripura along with arms and ammunition to “help” tackle the law and order situation in Kashmir.
Total three companies of CRPF including 370 troopers posted in the E branch of 71 Battalion, C branch in 124 Battalion and D branch of 140 Battalion were taken by an Indian Air Force aircraft last evening, sources said.
They said the IAF plane had landed at Agartala Airport at 1 pm and left for Jammu and Kashmir along with the CRPF personnel at 6 pm.
The MHA has started preparations to “tackle” the unrest in Kashmir valley after the death of Hizabul Mujhahideen commander, Burhan Wani.
It is worth mentioning here that 28 Companies have already rushed in since july 9th.
