Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Monday to discuss the turmoil in Kashmir, sources said.
However, details of the meeting were not available.
Meanwhile, leaders of Opposition raised the Kashmir matter in the Rajya Sabha.
Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad, asked when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government would tender an apology for the situation in Kashmir.
Azad said that the Opposition demands an all party meeting to discuss the issue and a delegation to be sent to Kashmir.
Raising the issue of pellet guns and shoot-at-site orders, Azad said the people were eager to know the PM’s stance on the issue.
