Geelani warns police officer, mend ways or face people’s wrath

Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani today warned one police officer for using brute force against “peaceful protesters” for firing pellets at Khanabal chowk in South Kashmir Anantnag district.

In a statement issued here, Geelani accused the officer (name withheld) who is in charge of Bus stand Anantnag of injuring scores of protesters including women after firing pellets upon them.

Geelani said that number of women protesters have received the injuries with pellets in their private parts.

“This criminal & butcher officer is warned that it is high time that rogues and killers like you should be brought to book and we cannot stop people to tackle you directly. You should be ashamed for such heinous crimes against your own people,” Geelani warned him.
