Massive clashes erupted in Kupwara on Friday after armed forces opened fire on peaceful protesters in various areas of the district.
Sources said that two people were injured in army firing while 15 others were injured in forces action at Zurhama and Awoora areas of Kuwpwara district. One among these has been referred to SMHS Hospital.
Ten more people were injured in police action at Kralpora area.
Thirty two were injured at Langate and Qaziabad areas in Police action, of these four persons were referred to SMHS hospital.
Locals also allege that police has beaten hospital staff and attendants at Kupwara district hospital.
Sources said police has also damaged public property in Awoora area of the frontier district.
They said one ambulance carrying injured was also stopped by forces at Regipora area and beat attendants.
Twenty nine persons were also injured in Kralpora area.
BSNL mobile telephony has also been snapped in entire district to “control” the situation.
