Massive protests were held at tourist resort Pahalgam and Arwani in south Kashmir on Wednesday.
Reports from Pahalgam said that police used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters. Locals alleged that men in uniform smashed window panes of many hotels in the town.
However, the protests in Arwani in Kulgam district remained peaceful. The protest rally was addressed by many at Arwani.
Reports of protests have reached from many places of Kashmir against the civilian killings at the hands of government forces.
Curfew, restrictions and shutdown is going on in the valley ever since the killing of militant commander Burhan Wani in south Kashmir.
