Over 50 persons were injured after forces tried to break up a car-and-bike rally in Adijan village of Kulgam in south Kashmir on Wednesday, reports and witnesses said.
28 injured youths are being treated at District Hospital Kulgam, hospital sources said, adding that seven injured persons have been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
Witnesses said that a huge rally of people from several villages of Kulgam was marching on motorcycles and cars towards Damhal-Hanjipora when forces intercepted it in Aadijan village, triggering clashes.
They alleged that forces personnel set ablaze motorcycles and cars.
