Srinagar: Complete blackout was witnessed was observed in Srinagar on the call of Hurriyat leaders on Wednesday evening.
All residential houses switched off their outer lights giving a ghost look even on the important airport road. Protesters are advising the vehicles to travel using indicators only.
Reports of complete blackout have also reached from down town Srinagar and Bijbehara in south Kashmir.
Pakistan observed black day on Wednesday against what it called Indian atrocities in Kashmir. So far 50 people have died and more than 3000 injured ever since Commander Burhan Wani was killed on July 8.
