Chief of Laskher-e-Toiba, Mehmood Shah on Monday warned J&K Police to ‘mend their ways’. In a statement, LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi—quoting Mehmood Shah— said that “even after being warned multiple times not to become a tool in the hands of oppressors, the police has been killing civilians with bullets and maiming many more with pellets.”
“We warn J&K police that they should refrain from such actions and mend their ways,” an emailed statement from LeT read.
“Kashmiris have been fighting against the mighty Indian military. The fight will continue till it is not taken to its logical conclusion,” the statement added.
