A Border Security Force (BSF) post known as Water Point which was taken over in 1969 by the BSF was evacuated after consistent attacks by youth during last nine days of violent protests in Nuso area of Bandipora district.
Sources said it was a vital point for forces as they used to supply drinking water to all adjoining camps.
DC Bandipora has confirmed about the evacuation of BSF.
