A New Delhi based farmers’ organization, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh Thursday while condemning the killing spree in the Valley asked government to exercise maximum restraint while dealing with the protesters.

In a statement issued to news agency CNS, Rajinder Singh, the Bhartiya Kisan Sangh chairperson said that government should direct its forces for restraint and ensure that “there is no further loss of innocent lives”.

“We take strong exception to the actions by the forces targeting the civilians above abdomen as is evidenced in the cases of those killed and those who have suffered injuries,” he said.

“We express sympathies with the families of those killed or injured and the ‘Sangh’ is with them in this hour of grief,” he added.
