Shifted to SKIMS, SMHS; Five More Youth Injured

Five more youths were injured Wednesday evening in pellets.

Reports reaching here said that two youth have been admitted to SMHS this evening. The duo has been taken to emergency theatre.

Sources said that two more youth were rushed from North Kashmir’s Kupwara and admitted to SMHS. They were hit by pellets.

More so, a youth was hit by a pellets when forces fired pellets in Shalteng area of summer capital.

Reports and locals sources said that protests were going on in main Shalteng crossing when clashes erupted between forces and youth.

Locals said that a youth was hit by pellets in his leg below knee.

“The youth identified as Arif has been admitted to operation theatre,” a doctor at SKIMS said, “he has suffered huge blood loss.” The doctor said that the pellets have pierced Arif’s popliteal fossa.
