After activating its cadre for emergency medical relief to hundreds of bullet and pellet hit civilians post militant commander Burhan Wani, Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) J&K on Tuesday visited almost all major hospitals of Srinagar.
A statement issued by state’s largest socio-politico-religious organization this evening said that the JeI delegations met the injured persons admitted therein and their attendants and expressed total solidarity and sympathy with them.
Notably, Ameer-e-Jama’at Ghulam Muhammad Bhat on Mondy had asked its cadre to get to work and extend all kind of relief work for the injured and their attendants in the hospitals.
These delegations consisted of Ghulam Qadir Lone (Secretary General), Advocate Zahid Ali (Chief Political Bureau), Gazi Mueen-ul-Islam Nadvi (Asstt Secretary General), Ess Ahmad Pirzada (Chief Press & Publications department), Irfan Ahmad (Dy Press department), Umar Sultan (President Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba J&K), Muhammad Ashraf and other office bearers of JeI.
“The delegation enquired about the health conditions of the injured persons and their necessary requirements and assured them of all possible assistance,” the statement informed.
Giving details, the statement said that district office of JeI Srinagar has already provided assistance in the form of cash, drugs, eatables, clothes etc to the needy and this process will continue.
“On observing the conditions of the injured, it is evident that Indian security forces and SOG of Police have crossed all limits of cruelty and high handedness and also trampled down all moral and human values while dealing with the peaceful protestors,” the statement said.
“The indiscriminate firing and shelling by pellet guns and lobbing tear gas shells have been such intense as is seen during the full-fledged war. Every vital part of the human body has been badly hit resulting in thirty five deaths and injuries to more than three thousand innocent and unarmed youngsters holding peaceful protests,” the statement revealed.
Jama’at-e-Islami while condemning this “state sponsored barbarity”, the statement said, “JeI is satisfied with the reaction shown by Pakistan and other world bodies including OIC and Amnesty International and appeals the world community to came forward to save Kashmiri from annihilation at the hands of government of India and use diplomatic pressure against the tyrant government of India to stop these atrocities and resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people here.” “Jama’at demands stern action against India for use of excessive and unwarranted force against the people of Kashmir time and again.”
