At least 32 people have been killed while 1365 others have been injured since Friday evening in clashes between protesters and forces, government said on Monday.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Asgar Samoon said 1365 persons were injured in the clashes out of which 279 have been referred to Srinagar hospitals for specialized treatment.
He said 32 people were also killed in the protests.
The Div Com also dismissed the rumours that there was shortage of medicines in Valley hospitals. “Medicines and ambulances are available and there is no shortage,” he said.
However, Samoon appealed the medical shop owners to keep emergency medicine available. “We will pay them later from Red Cross Fund and medical shop owners should not charge money from injured persons,” he said.
Samoon also dismissed the rumours spread by some vested interests regarding attacks on Amarnath yatries. “No yatri has been attacked as it is rumor spread by some vested interests,” he added.
