At least a dozen militants appeared in Eidgah in Tral town of South Kashmir to join the funeral procession of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani. Meanwhile, thousands of people continue to pour in to the town to join the procession.
Armed militants appeared at the funeral venue to pay homage to their slain commander. People also jostled on seeing them. They also fired in air while his body was kept at his home. Three Nimaz-e-Jinazas have already been offered.
Earlier his Nimaz-e-Jinaza was scheduled at 11.30 AM but it was delayed as people were still coming from different areas. The correspondent reports that they are coming on bikes, in trucks and load carriers. People have installed free langers for people and kiosks have been set up for medical aid and water. The burial, reports say may take more time.
Meanwhile protests and stone pelting incidents have been reported from many parts of Kashmir valley. In Batmaloo, Rek Chowk and Magarmal Bagh in Srinagar police had to resort to aeriel firing. In Baramulla, Sheeri and Khanpora Chowk also witnessed protests. Sopore is also on boil.
