Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that the state employees shall have to wait for at least two more years to get the benefits of 7th pay commission benefits.

In her speech in Legislative Council of State Legislature, Mehbooba requested the employees and their unions to wait at least two more years for benefits “because of bad financial position of the state”.

She said that the government has many issues in the form of liabilities, provident fund issues, etc.

She said that if 61,000 casual employees are regularized then the government needs to defer the pay commission for at least two years.
