July 01: Army on today claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid near Line of Control (LoC) in Tanghdar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A senior official said that some infiltrators tried to sneak into this side near Eagle post, the army’s Rajput deployed in the area challenged there move at around 8:00 am.After being challenged, the militants opened fire triggering off an encounter which continued for about an hour.A massive search has been launched with the help of 4 Para troopers in the area. When reports last came in, the search operation in the area was going on.
