Over 700 Litres of expired Soft Drinks destroyed in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, June 29 : Over 700 litres of expired soft drinks seized and later destroyed by the Food Safety department in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

“On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal Tariq Ahmad Ganie, the Food Safety Officer  Ganderbal Sheikh Abass along with his team conducted an intensive market checking in Ganderbal Giraaj and Nunnar areas”, a senior official said.

During which 724 (seven hundred twenty four) litres of over dated /expired Soft drinks, Packaged drinking water & other eatables were destroyed on spot, he said.

“The Drive will continue in the entire District and strict action will be taken against the erring traders. Further, the FBO’s were advised to strictly adhere to the provisions of FSS, Act-2006, rules & regulations-2011”, he said.
