Former MLC and senior Congress leader Ravinder Sharma has demanded enquiry into allegations of panchayats  representatives regarding framing of BPL lists as a result large number of genuine beneficiaries have been ignored.

In a statement here, Sharma said that sarpanchs and panchs of Nowshera have been holding protest demonstration over the issue and have complained that they were not consulted in the framing of BPL lists, which have been framed on favoritism.
He regretted the by-passing of panchayats in the process, which is totally arbitrary and demanded enquiry into the matter and rectification of lists to include all genuine and deserving families in BPL lists of the area.
