Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq today informed the House that 150 schemes under Central Road Fund (CRF) have been sanctioned at the cost of Rs. 2134.13 crore so far.
Responding to a calling attention notice by G. M. Saroori, the Minister said that 69 schemes have been completed so far at the cost of Rs. 807.19 Crore while 81 schemes are in progress.
He said that 82 schemes have been sanctioned in Jammu at the cost of Rs.1272.83 Crore out of which 40 schemes have been completed at the cost of Rs. 529.42 crore. He said that out of 82 schemes taken up under CRF in Jammu province, 27 schemes were taken up in Chenab Valley including 6 schemes of Inderwal constituency.
The Minister further informed the House that the Government recommended 104 projects to Ministry of Road Transport and Highway, Government of India for sanction under CRF during last year; however the ministry accorded sanction to 25 projects only. He said the sanction projects include 6 of Jammu province at a cost of Rs.375.21 Crore which pertain to district Jammu, Rajouri, Udhampur and Kathua.
