A woman has filed a complaint with police against her estranged husband for cheating of Rs 1.66 crore here in Srinagar city.
The woman who hails from Chanapora area in the outskirts of Srinagar city told CNS that one Hilal Ahmed Dar of Ompora Budgam posed as a bureaucrat to impress her. “He faked as Deputy Commissioner and used to visit our house along with his fake security personnel,” she said.
The woman added that she had earned millions during her stay in Saudi Arabia while after marriage the cheating husband grabbed crores from her on the one or the other pretext. “It was not only me who was shocked but the entire neighborhood was puzzled after reality dawned upon them that the man posing Deputy Commissioner was fake,” she said.
The woman said that three FIR’s stands registered against her cheating estranged husband at three different police stations of Srinagar city including Chanapora, Qamarwari and Sadar but till date no action has been initiated against him. “I want justice and action against the cheater who spoiled my life. I even appeal Director Rural Development to initiate action against him as despite an employee of the department, he never visits the office, thus receiving illegitimate salary on monthly basis,” she said and appealed state police chief to look into the matter.
