Er Rasheed: Assembly can’t pay tributes to anti Kashmir Mukharjee

Awami Eitihad Party (AIP) Chief and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has strongly condemned slapping of Public Safety Act (PSA) on an insane Muslim in Jammu, while sparing another accused of the same crime just because he belonged to other community. He said that the state has practically adopted two set of rules.

Rasheed said that BJP was trying to fulfil the “ill intentioned dreams” of its ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee but the party should know that Mookerjee has been already rejected and he is looked as an “anti state” element.

As soon as the business started in the assembly MLA Langate got up and raised the issue of slapping of PSA on an insane person of Jammu who has allegedly desecrated a temple. He said that it was astonishing to see such a black law being invoked against a person even after it was accepted in the house that the accused is mentally retorted and whatever he did was not intentional. “Sentencing an insane person is questionable but the bigger question is that if an insane person was booked then why was another man, who committed the same crime in Nanak Nagar area, spared,” he said.

Rasheed had a heated argument with BJP members when the parties state Chief Satpal Sharma wanted to pay tributes to party ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
