Women Employees Grievance Cell set up in Civil Secretariat

Minister for Agriculture Mr Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura informed the House that a grievance cell for women employees in the civil secretariat has been established.

Replying to a question by Ms Anjum Fazili, the Minister said that Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare Ms Sarita Chouhan, Joint Director Tourism Department Ms Omera Shafat and Under Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Ms Kiran Raina comprise the officers in the cell.

The Minister said that it is for the first time in the history of the state that a women employee’s cell was established for addressing the grievances of the women employees in civil secretariat. He said that the initiative was taken on the directions of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. He said that the Government would also consider setting up such cells in the districts.
