Terming the killing of a Bemina youth and the woman in the Kud area of Udhampur district as mysterious and doubtful, Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G Syed Ali Geelani today demanded that this incident should be investigated by some independent agency.

While expressing his sympathy and condolence with the affected families, Geelani said that the police version in this regard is not trustworthy because this institution maintains a very bad track record in these matters.

In a statement issued to the press, the Hurriyat (G) Chairman appealed the human rights organizations to meet the family of the killed youth and listen to their stand in this regard.

Geelani said that the Indian forces deployed in Jammu & Kashmir look with suspicious eyes towards every Kashmiri and harassing and killing them is considered as their national duty.

Till now thousands of Kashmiri youths have been killed in mysterious conditions and then to gain the medals and rewards, these innocent youths are linked to the armed struggle,” he said.
