Anantnag police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered codeine phosphate from their possession.
Acting on a tip off, a police party of Police Post Janglatmandi headed by D.O Janglatmandi Shri Mudasir Ahmad laid a naka in its jurisdiction. During the naka checking a Motorcycle bearing registration number PB-07AB55-25 was intercepted. During search 22 bottles of Codeine Phosphate was recovered from the possession of Mukhtar Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Rasool Mir resident of Shelipora, Achabal and Mudasir Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Yaqoob Dar resident of Brakpora, Anantnag.
A case FIR number 155/16 under section 21/22 NDPS was registered against them and investigation was taken up
