A group of 20 vibrant students of St Stephens college, Delhi visited Srinagar for a educational – cum- motivational tour conducted by Army.
The students not only got an exposure to the diverse but also the rich culture and heritage of Srinagar. The tour got glimpses of Dal Lake, Char Chinar, Nishat Garden, Shankrachariya Mandir, Mughal Garden, Shalimar Garden and Gulmarg.
For most of the students, it was a maiden experience to travel by road across Srinagar. The tour finally reached AGS, Wuzur Buna Deosar.
The students were welcomed by the Commander Wuzur garrison and Principal of AGS, Wuzur. The students of AGS, Wuzur welcomed the students with great zeal and enthusiasm. Special cultural program were organised for the students.
While addressing the gathering Commander Wuzur garrison extended warm welcome to teacher and students and said that mutual sharing of these experiences by the tour members who are ‘true ambassador of love and peace’ with their peers would encourage a healthy and progressive mind set thereby, coaxing them to aim for a brighter future for themselves as well as for the state and the nation.
The students thanked Army for conducting such a tour and urged to organise more such fruitful ventures in future which facilitated them to see ‘Heaven on the Earth-Kashmir Valley’ and get to know wonderful talented students of Valley.
