Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today, replying to a question of Naresh Kumar Gupta, informed that the Government has set a target to provide electricity to all the habitations of the State during the tenure of the present dispensation.
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that the Department has taken up various measures to improve Transmission network and soon the State will achieve the target of cent per cent electrification.
Dr. Singh informed that power projects in Ramban, Kistwar and Bhallesa have been completed at the cost of Rs 79.08 crore and commissioned, adding that 132 KV feeding bay at Grid station Khellani has also been completed by expending Rs 4.41 lakh. He said the augmentation of 132/33KV Grid Station Khellani is also under execution at the cost of Rs. 6.42 crore. He said that the Department is utilizing the available infrastructure to provide power supply in Doda-Kistwar districts, saying that some projects have also been projected and taken up under R-APDRP, IPDS and DDUGJY in these districts. The construction of 132KV D/C Ramban-Khellani-Kishtwar transmission line and 132 KV S/C Thathri-Bhallessa transmission lines is under execution and are held up because of ROW ( Right to work)issues, he added.
