JKAC delegation meets Governor

A delegation of JK Against Corruption (JKAC), led by its Chairman Bikram Singh, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhvan here today.

The delegation apprised the Governor about their demands which included issues of directions to the State Government regarding no further  delay in the appointment of all the members of the State Human Rights Commission; filling of all posts in the High Court and District Courts and other subordinate Courts; strengthening of Jammu and Kashmir State Accountability Commission, the State Vigilance Commission and the State Women Commission; strengthening of the traffic regulation apparatus in view of the ever increasing road fatalities; proper implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act; regular awareness programmes for people friendly Acts; fixing annual examination calendars by the Kashmir and the Jammu Universities; transparency in tendering processes etc.

The Governor encouraged the Chairman and the delegation to steadfastly continue their ongoing campaign against corruption in the administrative system and assured support to their endeavours.
