A woman was killed in a cloud burst that occurred at Aishmuqam area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir Tuesday.
A police official said the lady identified as Jabeena, 32, was killed after the cloud burst hit her house at Hapatnad in Aishmuqam. He said that the house also sustained damage and she died on spot.
Reports said that the cloud burst occurred after massive rains, thunderstorm and hailstorm. The reports of thunderstorm and hailstorm were received from all across south Kashmir and in Bandipora district of north Kashmir. The reports informed that properties worth lakhs have been damaged due to strong winds.
