Srinagar : Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri, today said that Government would expedite the recruitment process for various departments on fast-track basis.
Responding to a question of Javed Hassan Beig, the Minister said recruitment in Education and Health sectors would be prioritized and recruitment would be done on a speedy manner. Veeri informed that in some cases, there were litigations and Government’s legal cell was examining them. He said the Government legal cell would be directed to ensure speedy peruse of cases pending for decision and the matter would be also taken with Advocate General so that the selection of posts in Health and Education department would be done by the concerned recruitment agencies well in time. He also assured that the recruitments in various departments would be done on fast-track basis.
The Minister said that PSC and SSRB would be also asked to further speed up the selection process of different posts for augmenting the staff strength in various departments.
He further informed the House that during the last six years 5775 vacant posts of different departments have been referred to PSC against which selection of 2312 posts has been done by the PSC during the period.
Usman Majid, Mian Altaf Ahmad, GM Saroori, Hakeem Muhammad Yasin, Sheikh Ashfaq Jabar and Bashir Ahmad Dar raised supplementaries to the main question.
